We are the only area Yoga studio to offer a class specifically for Chronic Pain.
Our Yoga for Pain Relief Class meets weekly, from 9-10 a.m. Sunday. The class is appropriate for all levels of Yoga experience–from first-time students to experienced ones–and for all types of pain. Whether you suffer from back pain, headaches, Fibromyalgia, arthritis, or any other chronic condition that has caused your Central Nervous System to be on high alert, this class is for you!
The gentle class focuses on reprogramming the Central Nervous System around pain. It uses breathing exercises, gentle movement, meditation and relaxation practices. The class is adaptable for a chair or wheelchair.
We do not advise attending this class with acute pain or pain from a new or undiagnosed injury. If you are in doubt whether this class is appropriate for you, check with your health care professionals.
