Curvy Yoga is an exploration of Yoga at its best: Inclusive, open, safe, energizing, inviting and calming for all body types and sizes. Each class in this series will offer movements and postures designed specifically for larger bodies or those whose body types are under-represented in the “traditional” image of Yoga.
This class will allow you to move at your own pace, and teach you how to welcome postures into your body–instead of forcing your body into the postures. Curvy Yoga provides the key to caring for, connecting with and loving the body you are in right now.
If you’ve ever wanted to try yoga–to take full advantage of all its wonderful benefits for mind and body–and feel more comfortable doing it, this is the place to start.
This class is open to all. This class is appropriate for beginners and advanced Yoga practitioners. Pre-registration is required. The class is taught by Theresa Conroy, a Certified Curvy Yoga Instructor.
Please Note: This is NOT a weight loss class. There will be no “toning” or “firming” or “fat burning.” This is a body affirming class that does not discriminate for size or, quite frankly, anything else!
