Theresa Conroy, director
Yoga Therapist
Registered Yoga Teacher
theresa@yogaontheridge.com

Theresa is a lifelong Roxborough resident who spent 27 years working as a Philadelphia journalist. In January 2007, she left her job covering criminal courts for the Philadelphia Daily News to teach yoga full-time.

Theresa became a yoga instructor because she was driven to share the benefits yoga has brought to her life. With the support of her yoga practice, Theresa quit smoking, shed 50 pounds and overcame an anxiety disorder.

In 2008, she deepened her knowledge of yoga by becoming a certified Yoga Therapist. Theresa founded Yoga Unites, a nonprofit organization that uses yoga to raise awareness of social, environmental and health issues. She also is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and a certified Thai Yoga Bodywork practitioner.

She teaches group and private yoga classes in her studio, in corporate offices, in retirement centers, in schools and universities and in private homes.
