Posture Clinic

A stronger, more flexible back in two weeks

with Theresa Conroy

Sunday, Feb. 12 and 19

1-2:30 p.m.

  $60

Do you sit at a computer or in a car for most of the day--shoulders climbing toward your ears, chin out, neck and upper back muscles straining and tiring? Does your low back hurt when you sit or stand for any length of time? Do you feel your spine round or collapse?

In this two-day clinic, you will be tuned in to recognizing your postural gestures and habits, then learn how to modify them with the appropriate stretches, yoga postures, strengthening exercises and relaxation techniques. After completing this program, you will be able to, stand taller, move easier, and maybe even release the constant pain and stiffness in your muscles and joints.

This program includes two 90-minute classes, a personal posture assessment by Yoga Therapist Theresa Conroy and an in-home program for you to follow.

It may be frigid outside, but we will bring the warmth, light and freshness of Spring inside with an all-levels Vinyasa yoga practice followed by a tasting of some extraordinary Japanese green teas. We will savor multiple infusions of high grade sencha & gyokuro--sweet and bright fresh greens to warm us from the inside out. The yoga practice is appropriate for all levels--even new beginners. Light snacks provided.

A Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), Artist and Tea Enthusiast, Pamela discovered that yoga could relieve her anxiety, provide an amazing workout, and get her creative juices flowing. She has over 450 hours of training in various styles of yoga including Kripalu and Anusara. Pamela brings her compassion and creative spirit to her classes and utilizes these tools to help students feel more connected to their bodies and experience deeper levels of strength and relaxation. Pamela also leads tea tastings that combine mindfulness and meditation with knowledge and appreciation of tea. For more informaiton about Pamela and her tea ceremonies, visit her website.
